Below are suggestions for scheduling your symposium that focus on beginner and novice paddlers, women and youth. If you are an intermediate or advanced paddler you have no limitation to your choice of class or tour.
As a
Beginner, we have two options for starting the weekend: Introduction to Sea Kayaking or Kayak Essentials. Then use our suggested tracks below or take any of our Basic Skills classes or tours. Everyone is required to know how to do a wet exit (tip over with a spray skirt on) and an assisted rescue before taking any basic class or tour.

Faster Pace Track
If you're a
Novice we recommend beginning with Kayak Tune-Up or Kayak Essentials, a morning of basic skills that will give you a refresher of what you need to get to the next level. After either class, you'll be ready for our wide selection of Basic Skills classes and many tours. Everyone is required to know how to do a wet exit (tip over with a spray skirt on) and an assisted rescue before taking any basic class or tour.
Join the company of like-minded
Women as you work on your kayak skills together. Of course, it's the same content as our co-ed classes and tours, the same high-quality instruction, and the same fun learning environment. Come hang with the gals!
For
Kids and Teens, begin with our Youth Go Kayaking 1 & 2. These are also great refresher courses for kids who've been here before. Our Youth Track also features a tour and an advanced skills class, or choose to have fun with any of our tours rated for all ages.
