Kids Canoe & Kayak

ages:	Youth entering grades 3-5

Ready for a fun, two-day adventure on the water? This class is all about trying out both canoes and kayaks! One day, you'll get to try out canoes, learning how to paddle and steer while playing games and exploring. The other day, we’ll jump into kayaks, working on balance and strokes while having a blast on the water. Along the way, we’ll practice water safety and learn cool rescue skills. By the end, you’ll feel confident in both canoes and kayaks, and ready to paddle anywhere!

Note: If wind or water quality is an issue, we’ll use backup locations. For courses at Esther Beach, we’ll head to Olbrich Park or Rutabaga Paddlesports. For courses at Olbrich Park, we’ll go to Esther Beach or Rutabaga Paddlesports.

Required Forms

Each person attending Rutabaga classes must read and sign the Waiver of Liability form and the Student Health Info form. Please download each form for each participant and bring the signed documents with you when you come to class. Thanks!
