Enjoy a relaxing day on a remote section of the Yahara River, paddling from Stebbinsville to the Murwin County Park, about 5-6 miles. We’ll hop into our boats for a leisurely paddle through wooded and rural countryside, possibly enjoying wildlife sightings along the way. There may be a few trees to maneuver around, but in general this stretch of river is free from obstructions, and thus is a great trip for beginners. It’s mainly a flatwater paddle, with a few gentle riffles to provide a pleasant ride. We'll meet at Rutabaga, provide transportation to the river, and run a shuttle. Canoe or recreational kayak and corresponding equipment are included in the price but you are welcome to bring your own boat. We will be in touch in advance of the trip to ask which type of boat you would like for the trip. Please note: Trip participant minimum is 4 so the trip may be cancelled if we don't reach our minimum. |
