And for every pair we sell, we plant 20 mangrove trees, making a pair of Ombraz over 1700x carbon negative. The Back Story In case you're new to Ombraz, let me get you caught up. In 2011, someone sat on my business partner's sunglasses and the arms broke off. In desperate need of eye protection, he tied a cord around the broken hinges. More durable than ever, they were comfortable and didn't slip off his face. In 2018 we launched our armless sunglasses concept via a crowdfunding campaign, raising over $250K in preorders. Since 2018, we have sold over 50k units in the US, won multiple outdoor industry-awards and built a passionate community of armless enthusiasts around the globe.
