PJ Smith is an Orvis Endorsed Fly Fishing Guide in SW Wisconsin. He fished conventional gear his whole life until he was introduced to fly fishing and the trout waters of the Wisconsin Driftless area. What started as a hobby turned into a part time business and in 2018 his dream of being a full time guide was realized. PJ has put thousands of miles on his truck to explore the streams & rivers around the state. His passion for the sport was his motivation to fish more and learn the waters in order to provide clients with an exceptional experience. Some of the best trout water in the midwest, is right here in Wisconsin. Trout aren’t the only fish species you can catch on a fly rod. PJ also guides for smallmouth bass, pike and musky. Together with his wife, Donna, they run guided fly fishing trips, seminars and weekend retreats to teach fly fishing. Come fish the quiet waters with PJ, he hopes to meet you on the water soon!

Donna Smith is co-owner and lead instructor with PJ's Guide Service. Donna has been fly fishing for over 25 years. She changed careers from horticulture to fly fishing to co-own PJ’s Guide Service and work for The Orvis Company in the Outfitter Department. Donna’s passion is introducing newcomers to the sport. She is the first woman to be an FFI Certified Casting Instructor in IL & WI. She’s taught fly fishing programs for: BOW, Flygirls of Michigan, WI Women’s Fly Fishing Clinics, Trout Unlimited, Orvis and PJ's Guide Service.
