Thankfully, there are scores of parents and grandparents that have taken kids into the woods and have lived to tell the tale. This talk will focus on the skills and mindset needed to navigate the backcountry with young ones. It will touch on planning techniques, setting reasonable goals and objectives, and how to use your first trip as a building block for longer and more complicated trips in the future.
