Neal Schroeter MD lives in Washburn, WI & is an Emergency Room physician in Ashland, WI where the hospital conference rooms are named after the Apostle Islands. He regularly organizes & leads trips in the Apostle Islands, where he has paddled to or around all 22 islands.
He owns a company, Whitecap Kayak, a business that mentors youth in leadership skills through kayak guiding & instructions, while doing guided trips in the Apostle Islands.
He is an ACA L5 Coastal Kayak instructor, L4 Whitewater instructor & L4 Coastal Kayak Instructor Trainer Educator.
He is an Advanced Wilderness Life Support, & Wilderness First Responder instructor.

To stay safe, it's necessary to have a healthy respect for the cold waters we paddle. We will consider how to prevent, recognize & potentially treat cold water injuries. This presentation could save your life!
