David Meier works as the Digital Communications Manager for Friends of the Boundary Waters Wilderness and is the host of the popular BWCA podcast "Big Red Canoe." He has ventured to the Boundary Waters for nearly 40 years and loves to introduce new people to this special place, most recently his two elementary aged boys and their friends. Though he enjoys the adventure of traveling internationally, Dave feels that the most special places are here in the Midwest, on Lake Superior's North Shore and in the BWCAW.
