When: Saturday September 10th 10am- 6pm.

Where: Rutabaga Paddlesports Backlot 220 W Broadway Monona WI 53716

What to expect: An array of used canoes, kayaks, stand up paddle boards and paddles looking for a new forever home.

The boat swap will be held outside in our boat yard, rain or shine. We will have Rutabaga staff present to help assist you when looking at boats.

We ask that all boats be taken off of the racks by TWO people.

You are welcome to sit in boats but test paddle will not be available for Boat Swap boats and boards.

All boats and paddles at the swap are sold AS IS and may need repair or maintenance work. Please inspect boats and paddles carefully before deciding to purchase them. No returns on swap boats.

Please do not remove tags from boats during the swap unless you intend to purchase them.




Registration will close Saturday September 3th or when we reach capacity. We have a limited amount of space on our racks so register early!

Drop off info:
You can begin to drop off your boat(s) and/or paddles at Rutabaga, during store hours, starting Wednesday August 31st - Friday September 9th. We are open 10am-6pm, Tuesday - Saturday and 10am-3pm Monday September 5th (Labor Day). Your boat must be at Rutabaga by 5pm Friday September 9th in order for it to be sold at the swap. We will not accept boats the morning of the swap. This is to ensure that everything is accurately accounted for and ready to be sold the next day. You do not need to schedule a time to drop off your boat.

Please have your boat cleaned up and ready to be sold. It is amazing how much better a clean boat looks than one that is covered with mud, dust, or filled with leaves!


Payout info:
You will set your price(s) and can opt for 100% of the sale as an In-store credit or 85% of the sale as a check.

We will notify you via email no later than Tuesday September 13th if your boat sold at the swap.

Checks will be mailed out and in store credit will be available by Friday September 16th. In-Store credit never expires and can be used on anything here at Rutabaga, including classes!

Any unsold boats left at Rutabaga past October 1st will incur a $50/week storage fee.
